Wu Yize Billiards Grand Opening: Top-Tier Configuration Sets New Benchmark for Northwest China.
On August 23, after nearly a year of meticulous preparation, the Wu Yize Billiards held its grand opening. The inauguration event was attended by a distinguished gathering of guests.
Located in the core area of Lanzhou City, the Wu Yize Billiards spans a total area of 2,000 square meters, making it one of the largest and most professionally equipped competitive billiards venues in Northwest China. The club adheres to a dual mission of "hosting professional tournaments + promoting public fitness," aiming to serve as a high-end platform for international billiards events, establish itself as a provincial model for public fitness, and drive the sustainable and healthy development of billiards in Gansu Province.
The venue boasts exceptionally professional and luxurious facilities, featuring nine snooker tables, including seven Wiraka1980 tournament tables and 18 Chinese billiard tables. Breaking away from traditional operational models, it introduces a large central kitchen and integrates diverse spaces such as a coffee and dessert bar, a leisure area, an equipment exhibition hall, a maintenance workshop, a live-streaming room, and locker rooms with showers, committed to providing guests with a high-quality experience that combines competition, leisure, and social interaction.
As the founder of the club, Wu Yize, currently ranked 19th in the world and a two-time finalist in professional ranking events,: "I am thrilled to open my first billiards club in my hometown of Lanzhou. Through this platform, I hope to help more people understand and fall in love with billiards, creating a professional space for everyone to exchange skills and share a passion for the sport. I also look forward to seeing snooker take root and thrive here."
Wu Yize's outstanding performances on the international stage are a powerful testament to the rise of billiards in Northwest China. The grand opening of the Wu Yize Billiards not only highlights the determined strides of the Northwest billiards industry toward premium and professional development but also embodies the aspirations and sentiments of a young athlete giving back to his hometown and promoting the growth of Chinese billiards.
Earlier this month, during its soft opening, the club hosted the 2025 Chinese Billiards Handicap Open (Gansu), with a total prize of RMB 50,000. In the future, the club will continue to launch more high-profile events and offer youth training programs to nurture more talents like Wu Yize in the Northwest, further igniting the region's passion for billiards!
